We just received the news yesterday that Mom's cancer has returned.

Mom had been dealing with pneumonia for a couple of weeks, but was getting better at first, and well enough to take a trip with Dad and her sister Jenny and husband Klaas. Two weeks into the trip Dad had a terrible case of kidney stones, which the Dr's there would do nothing more than give pain killers. Mom was still tired and coughing a lot, so they decided to take a early flight home. As it happened, Dad's kidney stones are now resolved. On Thurday night she went to the E.R. because of breathing difficulties and pain. She was given an IV for her pnemonia and on Friday morning she went back for a CAT scan. The CAT scan revealed cancer in the left lung that has already spread to the nodes. Tuesday Mom goes in for a bone scan, and Thursday she is already scheduled to see her oncologist.
We are just devastasted by this news and can only lean on God.
