Mom had her blood-work done today and got some great news!! Her bloodwork is too low for them to go on their holiday yet (that's not the good part :)....but...the preliminary report from her first CT scan was in. The oncologist says that they see no cancer in her neck and just a couple spots under her arm, which may or may not be cancer. Mom and Dad are absolutely thrilled - we all are - and are so thankful. I think Mom was a little in shock this afternoon - she's just so thankful, and kept repeating "prayers have been answered!". The oncologist will be calling the radiologist and Mom will find out next month what this means for radiation. We realize that this is just the preliminary report, and we are eager now to hear the full report, and what this means for Mom.
Mom will go back to the lab on Friday to repeat the blood-work, and if the numbers are high enough, she and Dad will leave from there for a break.
