Mom received her scheduled chemo treatment today. We have been nervous about this treatment because this is a new chemical regime, and we weren't sure how she would tolerate it. So far, she is doing really great - besides being tired, she looks good, and feels quite good. As per usual, she remains upbeat and is still always smiling. The side-effects of the treatment will likely become worse as the day goes on, but so far so good.
We had to laugh at Mom the other day, because she was resisting getting the flu shot, a pneumonia shot and the H1N1 shot......because she doesn't like needles. HA! With all these treatments and tests, you'd think that was small potatoes. Apparently not. Anyways, she did go in the end and get them - and no - they were not a big deal after all :).
We remain thankful that God is holding her up through this - we certainly get our strength from Him. We see how life can change in an instant, but also learn to recognize what is important in life. Thank you for your prayers!

Five down, three to go!
